The "Alice" mic endeavor

I, Andrew Clark will be attempting to construct this microphone from the ground up. This mic is based on Transound TSB-165A cardioid electret capsule. This is the first electronics project I have attempted to complete of this complexity. The circuit includes a JFETs transistor. Unlike bipolar transistors, JFETs are exclusively voltage-controlled in that they do not need a biasing current. electric flows through a semiconducting channel between source and drain terminals. By applying a reverse bias voltage to a gate terminal, the channel is "pinched", so that the electric current is impeded or switched off completely. The actual size is roughly 1.25" (30mm) diameter by 5.5" (140mm) long.
This is my breadboard configuration. As totally awesome electronics instructor Sudhu witnessed along with fellow classmates, I was successful in achieving signal through the mixer at my first attempt. Next step: soldering!

Cheers
