Electronics III: Week 9

The progress of my Yamaha NS10 is coming along very well. As of now I am right on schedule to have the entire project completed by week 11 and I can't wait to have a working mono source that I built myself. Last week I finished my second of two audio amplifiers. I also started getting my active crossover onto its chip.

Here are the two completed audio amps:

The amp on the left if my 2 X 15 watt amp that will power my 25 watt tweeter and the amp on the right is my 2 X 38 watt amp that will power my 45 watt midrange driver. As of last week I ordered the two speakers and now I have to order my two power supplies for the amps. For the first amp I need an 30v power supply that operates at between 2.0 and 3.5 volts. The second amp needs an 18v power supply that operates between 2.0 amps and 4.5 amps.

I went to home depot and picked up some 1/2" MDF, adhesive and thin carpeting for the design of the cabinet, which I will begin constructing on Sunday. If all goes well I will have all of the components to piece together my finished speaker next class.
